If you’ve been watching the news, you’re probably already aware that the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the United States is growing. As a precautionary measure, we’d like to offer some recommendations and information about coronavirus as it relates to your care. Please read through the following FAQ, and let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Am I at risk?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) offered the following advice:

This is a rapidly evolving situation, and the risk assessment may change daily. The latest updates are available on CDC’s Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) website.

What are the symptoms?
Symptoms of coronavirus include:

  • Fever
  • Coughing
  • Shortness of breath
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, we ask that you contact your primary care physician for further advice. In the meantime, as a courtesy to your therapist, our clinic staff, and your fellow patients, please do not come into the clinic at this time. Instead, please contact us to reschedule your future appointments—even if it’s last-minute—by calling Parlin office at 732-525-8802 and Edison Office at 908-561-4141.

What are we doing to protect you?

For your protection, we are limiting patients we see at the same time. We have patients separated into private rooms. Employees are also encouraged to stay home if they are sick. We have gloves, hand sanitizers, a handwashing facility, and disinfecting wipes that you can use while you are at our office.

We are screening everyone by phone. Those who are making appointments at our office are interviewed for any COVID-19 symptoms and contact with anyone with confirmed COVID-19. If their answer is YES, then we ask them to delay their appointment for at least 14 days so they can self-quarantine.

Also, we are checking the temperature of all of our patients upon their arrival. Patients are taken to a private room upon their arrival without coming in contact with anyone else. All unnecessary accompanying family members and drivers are asked to wait in their cars during the patients’ appointment. Additionally, we disinfect everything after the patients’ use like treatments beds, pillows, and all exercising equipment. Patients are encouraged to maintain good hygiene practices, as well. Sanitizers, along with the hand washing area, are made available to all our patients for use in our office.

Our staff members are required to wear a mask and gloves at all times when they are in contact with patients. We also guarantee that all our staff members practice proper handwashing and frequent hand sanitizing.
